Curtis Harrison Appears on Fox-4 News and Think Radio Programs

If everyone is entitled to 15 minutes in the spotlight, then Curtis Harrison went over his limit on March 8th when, in one day, he was featured on TV in the morning and the radio at noon.

Curtis’s Fox 4 – Good Day appearance included discussion about modern divorce trends such as co-parenting, nesting, emotion aspects of divorce, and knowing your attorney’s approach and style.

During Think with Krys Boyd, a team of experts including Curtis, mental health professional Linda Solomon, and financial professional Scott Clarke, explored emerging trends in litigation and Collaborative law, the less-messy divorce.

Two A & R Partners on Rising Star List

Congratulations to Jeff Yates and Laura Roach who have been selected by Law & Politics magazine and their peers for inclusion on the 2011 Edition of the Super Lawyers-Rising Stars list.

The list will appear in the April 2011 issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers. Inclusion is limited to 2.5 percent of eligible Texas attorneys who are 40 or younger, or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. The selection process combines peer nominations and evaluations on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.

A & R Runs to Benefit Susan G. Komen

A & R partner, Laura Roach, completed her first half marathon at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon benefitting Susan G. Komen Marathon for the Cure. The race, which took place on March 27th under overcast skies, started in downtown Dallas at City Hall, led runners past the American Airlines Center, through the Highlands Park neighborhood and concluded at Fair Park. Participants raised more than $300,000 to fight breast cancer.

Curtis Harrison Blogs for the Huffington Post Divorce Channel Curtis Harrison is now blogging for the Huffington Post Divorce Channel. The recently launched divorce channel includes advice columns by lawyers, financial experts and psychologists as well as news about celebrity divorces and a forum for readers to discuss their own divorces. Harrison’s first contribution, “Is there a Minimally Invasive Divorce,” serves as a good collaborative divorce primer for readers who might be unfamiliar with collaborative law and its advantages over traditional divorce. His second article, “Dealing with Christmas Games,” was published just before for Christmas.

Curtis also contributes regularly to three other blogs: North Texas Law Today, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas’s blog, and Curtiswharrison’s blog.
